Wageningen Bioveterinary Research (WBVR), The Netherlands, collaborates with public and private partners to safeguard animal and human health. Contributing to the prevention, eradication and control of animal infectious diseases through research, diagnostics and consultancy. By doing so, WBVR helps to guarantee international trade and to preserve the international top position of the Dutch livestock industry.
WBVR offers veterinary and biomedical research regarding animal and human health, infection and immunity. Our customized services include contract research, pre-clinical studies, bioinformatics, (BSL3) animal facilities, epidemiology and risk assessment. We develop vaccines, intervention tools and diagnostics for pathogenic agents.

Personnel Involved

Prof Dik Mevius DVM, PhD is expert in the field of molecular epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance. At WBVR he leads the NRL on AMR and is project leader of numerous research projects on antimicrobial resistance..
